Brass details punctuate the composition, introducing a restrained metallic accent without interrupting the lamp’s elongated profile.

The lighting element incorporates translucent acrylic, which softens and diffuses the light while maintaining the visual lightness of the overall structure. The contrast between walnut, brass, and acrylic reflects the material experimentation characteristic of postwar American lighting, when designers increasingly combined traditional cabinetmaking materials with industrial plastics and metals.

Rather than relying on a conventional fabric shade and central pole, the lamp treats its structural and lighting components as part of a single composition. Its narrow footprint and strong vertical emphasis make it particularly suitable alongside lounge seating, a credenza, or within a compact reading area.

This example is presented in vintage condition, retaining age-related character and wear consistent with use.
