Designed by Rolf Rastad and Adolf Relling for Møre Lenestolfabrikk, the Klarinett high-back lounge chair is a striking example of Norwegian modernism from the 1960s. Its sculpted African teak frame features outward-flared armrests that flow seamlessly into pencil-tapered legs, giving the chair both strength and elegance. The tall back offers generous support while maintaining a light, airy profile that feels more like sculpture than furniture.
The Klarinett embodies the balance of form and function that defined Scandinavian design in the mid-century era. Comfortable yet refined, it sits effortlessly in conversation with Danish and Brazilian modern pieces while maintaining a distinctly Norwegian character. A true collector’s piece, it elevates any interior with its graceful lines, warm wood, and timeless presence.
