Designed by Albert Larsson during the 1950s and produced by Alberts Tibro in Sweden, the Model 99 side table, commonly known as “Albertsbordet,” combines a compact circular teak top with an unusually light tripod base.
The design is organized around a round teak-veneered top supported by a tapered central wooden element. From beneath, three slender metal legs extend outward to form the tripod base, terminating in small shaped wooden feet. The contrast between the warm teak surface, fine metal structure, and wooden terminals gives the table a particularly light and graphic profile.
Rather than relying on a conventional four-legged wooden base, Larsson reduced the structure to a small number of clearly articulated components. The three-legged configuration provides stability while leaving most of the space beneath the top open, allowing the table to maintain a minimal visual footprint.
Its compact proportions make the Albertsbordet particularly adaptable as a side table, occasional table, drinks table, or bedside table. At 45 cm high, it sits naturally alongside lounge chairs and sofas while remaining light enough to reposition easily within an interior.
The Model 99 is a documented Albert Larsson design for Alberts Tibro, with period examples appearing under the names “Albertsbordet” and “Albert’s Table.” Surviving examples from the 1950s demonstrate the model’s characteristic circular teak top, tripod metal base, and small wooden feet.
