A 1950s Model FD116 lounge chair designed by Tove and Edvard Kindt-Larsen for France & Daverkosen, featuring a sculptural beech frame and newly upholstered leather covers.
The chair reflects the restrained elegance characteristic of the Kindt-Larsens’ work. The solid beech frame is gently shaped, with softly curved arms and tapered legs that give the piece a balanced, architectural presence. The proportions are generous without feeling heavy, allowing the structure to read clearly from every angle.
Comfort comes from the original sprung cushion system, which provides a supportive and resilient seat. The cushions have been fitted with new leather covers, chosen to complement the warm tone of the beech while respecting the character of the original design.
The frame presents in very good vintage condition and has been carefully cleaned and finished. The chair remains structurally sound and ready for everyday use.
A thoughtful example of mid-century Danish design where form, comfort, and craftsmanship meet with quiet clarity.
