A striking pair of mid-century modern wall sculptures attributed to American designer Frederic Weinberg, dating to the 1950s.
Crafted from black-painted steel wire, the composition depicts two abstract fencers facing one another, their extended foils crossing at the centre. The expressive figures are defined by fluid geometric lines, coiled wire details, and distinctive mesh fencing masks with colourful accents.
Combining sculptural movement with the playful character of postwar American modernism, the piece creates a dynamic, graphic presence on the wall. Its open-wire construction allows the surrounding wall to become part of the composition.
Vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. Please refer to the photographs for details.
