Produced by HMN Denmark during the 1960s, this adjustable rolling table is an outstanding example of Danish Modern functional design. Combining clean Scandinavian aesthetics with thoughtful engineering, it was created as a highly versatile piece capable of adapting to a wide range of everyday uses.
The table features two solid teak work surfaces supported by a polished chrome frame. The larger top tilts to multiple positions using a robust locking mechanism, making it ideal as a reading stand, laptop desk, writing surface, or music stand. The smaller side platform remains level, providing a convenient place for a coffee cup, mouse, notebook, or other accessories.
A height-adjustable central column allows the table to be positioned comfortably beside a sofa, lounge chair, or bed, while the low-profile chrome base rolls smoothly on four swivel casters, allowing it to slide effortlessly beneath seating or bedding. Raised teak edges help keep books, papers, or devices securely in place when the main surface is inclined.
The table remains in excellent vintage condition. The teak has developed a warm natural patina, the chrome frame presents beautifully, and all adjustment mechanisms operate smoothly. Compact, elegant, and remarkably practical, it is equally suited for modern interiors, home offices, reading corners, or bedside use.
