This credenza was produced by Bernhard Pedersen & Son in Denmark during the 1960s. Crafted in rosewood, the piece is defined by its strong horizontal proportions, deeply figured grain, and sculpted solid wood tambour pulls. The case sits on a recessed plinth base, giving the cabinet a grounded and architectural presence.

The tambour doors slide smoothly into the body of the cabinet, revealing a highly functional interior with adjustable shelving and three central drawers. The drawer interiors are finished in solid wood, with finger-jointed construction and the original Bernhard Pedersen label preserved inside. The cabinet is extremely solid and heavy, reflecting the quality of Danish cabinetmaking from the period.

The piece remains in very good vintage condition. The tambour doors function properly, the shelves adjust smoothly, and the rosewood surfaces present well throughout. There are visible marks on the top from the original display cabinet that once sat above it, consistent with the cabinet’s original modular configuration and age.

This credenza originally formed part of a larger modular storage system together with a matching display cabinet, which is also available separately. Please see our other listings for additional details and images of the complete set.

A refined example of Danish modern storage design, where material, craftsmanship, and functionality are resolved with clarity and restraint.
