Produced by Bräntorps Industrier during the 1960s, this compact credenza reflects the practical elegance of Scandinavian modern design. Executed in teak, the piece combines generous storage capacity with unusually shallow proportions, making it particularly well suited to hallways, dining rooms, entryways, or other spaces where circulation is important.
The case is distinguished by exposed finger-jointed corners, a detail that highlights the quality of its construction and the cabinetmaking traditions behind its production. Circular recessed pulls with aluminum inserts provide a subtle visual contrast while maintaining the clean lines of the façade.
Storage is organized through a central bank of four drawers flanked by sliding-door cabinets on either side. Adjustable interior shelving allows the piece to accommodate a wide range of uses, from dining storage and tableware to books, and everyday household items. The sliding doors further enhance functionality by eliminating the clearance required for hinged doors.
The credenza remains in very good vintage condition. The teak surfaces are well preserved, the drawers operate smoothly, and the sliding doors function properly. The joinery remains solid throughout.
