This credenza was designed by Poul Hundevad and produced by Hundevad & Co in Denmark during the 1960s. It is crafted in rosewood, with a strong linear form defined by its continuous grain and balanced proportions. The case sits on a recessed plinth, giving the volume a grounded yet visually light presence.
The front is composed of sliding doors, allowing access without interrupting the overall geometry. Inside, the cabinet includes adjustable shelving and a pull-out drawer with a felt-lined surface, offering a combination of open storage and more protected compartments. The layout reflects a clear and practical approach to storage.
The piece is in very good vintage condition. The structure is solid, and all elements function smoothly. The rosewood surfaces are clean and well preserved, with a small mark on the top consistent with age and previous use.
This credenza is part of a modular group of three matching cabinets by the same designer and manufacturer, visible in the final photos. The pieces were designed to function together or independently, offering flexibility in arrangement and use. Please see our other listings for additional details on the full set.
A precise example of Danish cabinetmaking, where material and proportion are resolved through clarity and restraint.
