A beautifully sculpted Danish Modern floor lamp from the 1960s, crafted in solid teak and showcasing the timeless simplicity that defines Scandinavian lighting design. The lamp features a finely turned solid teak column composed of three gently tapered sections that create a graceful vertical rhythm. The sculptural stem rises from a substantial circular teak base with softly rounded edges, providing excellent stability while emphasizing the organic warmth of the wood. Beautiful natural grain and a rich honey patina have developed over decades, giving the piece exceptional character.
This example is fitted with a classic brass harp and standard E26/E27 socket, allowing for a wide variety of lampshades. It is shown with a new pleated Scandinavian-style shade that complements the lamp beautifully and diffuses a warm, inviting light. The shade may be included or omitted depending on buyer preference.
The lamp retains its original vintage character and presents in excellent structural condition. The teak has been carefully cleaned and conditioned while preserving its authentic patina. Minor age-appropriate marks on the base are consistent with careful use over the decades and add to its originality.
