This set of six dining chairs was produced in the 1960s and is attributed to Benny Linden. The chairs are crafted in solid rosewood, with a strong vertical grain and a deep tone that defines the structure. The design reflects Scandinavian influence, with a focus on proportion, clarity, and material expression.
The set includes four side chairs and two armchairs. The backrests are formed by a series of sculpted vertical slats, creating both structural support and a light visual rhythm. The armchairs feature gently curved arms that extend forward in a floating gesture, stopping short of the seat frame. This detail reinforces the overall lightness of the design while maintaining comfort and usability.
The seats retain their original upholstery in a neutral woven fabric. The contrast between the textile and the rosewood frame is restrained and balanced, allowing the wood to remain the dominant element. The proportions are tall and upright, offering good back support while maintaining a refined profile.
The set is in very good vintage condition. The frames are solid and well preserved, with light wear consistent with age. The upholstery remains intact and usable, showing signs of age but maintaining a clean and even appearance.
A cohesive dining set where structure, material, and proportion are handled with clarity.
