The FD112 lounge chair was designed by Finn Juhl and produced by France and Son in Denmark during the 1960s. The design is defined by its sculpted solid teak frame and the independent upholstered seat and back, which sit within the structure rather than resting directly on it. This separation reflects Juhl’s approach to form and construction.
The chair features a low, open profile with a slightly reclined back and a wide seat. The proportions are compact but generous, allowing for a relaxed seating position. The curved backrest and floating seat create a balanced relationship between structure and upholstery.
This example has been reupholstered in beige fabric. The teak frame is well preserved, with clean surfaces and solid joinery. The chair is in excellent condition and ready for use.
This listing is for one chair. Four units are available, all in matching condition.
A clear example of Finn Juhl’s mid-century work, where structure and comfort are resolved within a refined and open form.
