A sculptural Mid-century modern Djinn chaise longue designed by French designer Olivier Mourgue for Airborne, France. Retaining its original yellow fabric upholstery, this distinctive design features a flowing, wave-like profile and a low reclining seat with a padded headrest.

Developed in the mid-1960s, the Djinn combines a tubular steel frame with foam padding to create a continuous upholstered form. Its sweeping curves and minimal exposed structure capture the experimental spirit of French Space Age design.

Mourgue is celebrated for his organic seating and inventive use of colour and materials. Produced by French manufacturer Airborne, the Djinn collection became an emblem of futuristic interiors, with seating from the series appearing in Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Original vintage upholstery with visible marks, discolouration, and wear consistent with age and use. Please refer to the photographs for condition details.

We offer reupholstery services for those wishing to refresh the chaise in a fabric of their choice. Please contact us for additional information and pricing.
