This Minerva 417 Abcc corner table was designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Molgaard-Nielsen and produced by France & Son in Denmark during the 1960s. Part of the Minerva modular seating system, the table reflects the same emphasis on clarity, proportion, and material expression found across the series. It is crafted in solid teak, with a triangular top that resolves neatly into corner configurations.
The structure is defined by its light frame and precise joinery. A secondary lower tier introduces a woven rattan shelf, adding both storage and texture. The open construction allows the piece to sit naturally between seating elements, functioning as a connecting surface within modular arrangements.
The table has been restored and presents in excellent condition. The teak surfaces are clean and evenly toned, and the rattan shelf remains intact and well preserved. Structurally sound and ready for use. A considered companion piece within the Minerva system, where function and form are resolved through simple and deliberate construction.
We also have two matching two-seat sofas from the same Minerva system available for sale—one configured as a daybed and another with fixed arms. Please see our other listings for details.
