The MP-13 sofa was designed by Percival Lafer in the 1960s and produced in Brazil. The design is defined by its horizontal lines and exposed solid Brazilian rosewood frame, with the upholstered body set within the structure. The contrast between the wood and the soft seating elements creates a clear and balanced composition.

The sofa features deep seating and a relaxed back angle, supporting a comfortable lounge position. The structure includes integrated wooden buttons that secure the upholstery, a detail characteristic of Lafer’s construction approach. The open base and visible frame reinforce the architectural quality of the piece.

The sofa is in excellent condition, with clean grey upholstery and a well-preserved Brazilian rosewood frame. The structure is sound, and all elements function as intended. Reupholstery in leather or alternate fabrics can be arranged if desired.

A representative example of Brazilian modern design, where material, structure, and comfort are resolved within a clear and functional form.
