A pair of 1960s occasional chairs designed by Arne Vodder for Sibast, crafted in Brazilian rosewood with newly upholstered black leather seats.

The design reflects Vodder’s characteristic balance between structure and softness. The solid rosewood frames are carefully shaped, with gently curved arms and subtly tapered legs. The grain is particularly expressive across the arms and frame, giving the chairs a warm and architectural presence.

The frames retain their original wood finish, which has been carefully cleaned and preserved. The seats have been newly upholstered in black Swedish leather from Elmosoft, chosen for its durability and natural texture. The darker leather provides a calm contrast to the deep tone of the rosewood.

Both chairs present in excellent condition. The frames are structurally sound and the surfaces remain very clean. Two chairs available.

A thoughtful example of Danish modern design, where careful proportions allow the material and craftsmanship to speak quietly.
