Designed by Niels Koefoed and produced by Koefoed Hornslet in Denmark during the 1960s, this set of six dining chairs represents one of the most refined expressions of Danish modern seating. Niels Koefoed became particularly recognized for elevating the high-back dining chair into one of the defining typologies of Danish furniture. Through Koefoed Hornslet, these designs demonstrated how industrial precision could coexist with traditional craftsmanship, helping establish Danish modern furniture as a global benchmark for quality and proportion.
The chairs remain in excellent vintage condition. The rosewood frames are clean and well preserved, with beautifully defined grain and solid construction throughout. The green velvet upholstery presents exceptionally well, introducing warmth and depth while complementing the richness of the wood.
