Designed by Lotte and Gunnar Bostlund and produced in Canada during the late 1950s and 1960s, these table lamps represent one of the most recognizable forms of Canadian Mid-Century Modern lighting. Combining sculptural ceramic forms with textured fiberglass shades, the design reflects the Scandinavian influences that shaped much of the Bostlunds' work.

Each lamp features a hand-crafted stoneware base finished in a rich cobalt blue glaze. The deep glossy surface contrasts beautifully with the original conical fiberglass shade, which incorporates woven jute strands throughout the material. When illuminated, the shade diffuses light softly and creates a warm, inviting glow.

Both lamps remain in excellent vintage condition. The ceramic bases are good vintage conditions, and the original shades have been exceptionally well preserved. The wiring has been inspected and the lamps function properly.

The price is $750 CAD per lamp. We currently have a matching pair available, making them an excellent option for use on bedside tables, consoles, or as a balanced lighting arrangement within a larger room.

A thoughtful example of Canadian modern lighting, where craftsmanship, material warmth, and sculptural simplicity are brought together in a highly recognizable form.
