This cabinet was designed by Poul Hundevad and produced by Hundevad & Co in Denmark during the 1960s. It is crafted in rosewood, with a compact and well-proportioned form defined by its continuous grain and clean geometry. The volume sits on a recessed base, giving the piece a grounded but visually light presence.

The defining feature is the tambour door, which slides smoothly into the cabinet, allowing full access to the interior without requiring additional clearance. Inside, the layout includes adjustable shelving in a contrasting lighter wood, offering flexible storage within a compact footprint. The construction reflects a precise and efficient approach to cabinetmaking.

This piece is part of a modular group of three cabinets by the same designer and manufacturer, designed to function together or independently. Please see our other listings for more details.

The piece is in very good vintage condition. The structure is solid, and the tambour mechanism operates smoothly. The rosewood surfaces are clean and well preserved, with a small mark on the top consistent with age and previous use.

A refined example of Danish functional design, where material and mechanism are resolved with clarity and restraint.
