A teak sideboard designed by Svend Aage Larsen for Faarup Møbelfabrik, Denmark, featuring sliding tambour doors and a carefully organized interior.
The case is defined by clean proportions and a continuous teak surface that allows the grain to read clearly across the front. The tambour doors glide smoothly along the cabinet, opening without interrupting the profile of the piece. Raised slightly on simple legs, the sideboard maintains a balanced presence that feels both grounded and light.
Inside, the layout is practical and well considered. Three felt-lined drawers provide space for smaller items, while two large adjustable shelves and one smaller shelf allow for flexible storage. The construction reflects the disciplined cabinetmaking typical of Danish workshops of the period.
The piece presents in good vintage condition. The structure is solid and the doors and drawers operate as intended.
A thoughtful example of Danish modern storage where careful joinery and proportion shape the design.
