This scissor wall lamp, model 332/334, was produced by Le Klint in Denmark during the 1960s. The structure is crafted in solid rosewood, formed into an expandable accordion arm that allows the light to extend outward from the wall. The geometry is clear and functional, with repeated wooden elements connected through simple pivot points.
The scissor mechanism provides a wide range of movement, making the lamp suitable for both ambient and task lighting. The shade is a Le Klint pleated model 1-21, formed in a folded structure that diffuses light evenly. The relationship between the articulated arm and the fixed geometry of the shade creates a balanced composition.
The lamp is in excellent vintage condition. The structure is stable, with smooth movement across all joints. The shade shows minor dents consistent with age, visible in close detail, but remains intact and functional. The lamp has been updated with a new white cord, inline switch, and socket, and is in full working order.
A well-resolved lighting piece where movement, structure, and material are integrated into a functional system.
