This wall mirror with integrated shelf was designed by Aage Pedersen and Leif Hansen and produced in Denmark by Viby J during the 1960s. The piece is executed in rosewood, with a focus on sculpted form and careful joinery.
The design is defined by its tapered and flared silhouette, with softly curved sides that frame the mirror and extend into a small functional shelf. The woodwork emphasizes clean transitions and visible craftsmanship, with attention to edge profiles and structural clarity.
The integrated shelf adds a practical element, suitable for small objects, while maintaining the visual balance of the composition. The vertical proportions make it well suited for entryways or compact wall spaces.
The piece remains in excellent condition. The rosewood surface is well preserved, and the mirror presents clearly with minimal signs of age.
A refined example of Danish modern design combining utility and sculptural form.
