A Brazilian production of Maurice Burke’s Alpha chair, produced by Pozza as part of their International Collection. The design balances a crisp chromed tubular steel frame with a suspended leather sling that defines both the structure and the comfort of the chair.
This example has been newly upholstered in leather, carefully executed and faithful to the original form. The upholstery sits cleanly over the frame, with soft edges and a relaxed drape that improves with use.
The scale is intentionally modest. It reads light in a space and works particularly well in apartments, bedrooms, or as a secondary lounge chair. Despite its smaller footprint, the Alpha is notably comfortable, offering a gentle recline and supportive arm height that invite longer sitting rather than occasional use.
Original Pozza labels remain present.
A concise modernist design with clear international lineage, offered in excellent condition.
