A striking and extremely rare pair of 1960s “Scoop” chairs by R. Huber, unlike any other examples we’ve encountered. This uncommon variant features sculptural solid oak frames, giving the chairs a warm, organic presence and a beautifully architectural silhouette. Fully restored by our team, each chair has been rebuilt with new high-density foam and upholstered in the sumptuous Atira Mineral jacquard velvet. The fabric’s subtle metallic sheen and small-scale mosaic-inspired motif add depth and richness, perfectly complementing the deep tufting and soft curves of the design. The result is a pair that feels both modern and unmistakably mid-century. With their unique construction and meticulous restoration, these are almost certainly the only Scoop chairs of this kind on earth—an extraordinary duo ready to elevate any interior.
